On Friday night, a 5.4 Richter earthquake, with its epicenter 250 kilometers northeast of Athens, hit between the Cycladic islands of Amorgos and Astypalaia at 11:52 p.m. Following which an aftershock measuring 4.1 on the Richter scale was felt at 12:48 p.m. on Saturday. No injuries or damage was reported though the tremors were felt on a number of islands including Kos and Leros.
