Plakias Horse Riding Center is located in the village of Plakias, about 30 kilometers south of Rethymno. First opening its doors in 2004, it is a family-run establishment that invites visitors to enjoy horse riding sessions amongst the beautiful sceneries of Plakias.

Plakias Horse Riding Center offers a total of ten unique riding tours that each take visitors through some gorgeous landscapes. Ride in the countryside, the mountains, the hillside or even on the beach and experience a one-of-a-kind trek through some of the island’s most picturesque locations. To make the journey as enjoyable and safe as possible, the tours are led by an experienced guide and guests are provided with all necessary horse gear, safety equipment and a well-trained horse.

Those who have never ridden horseback before should not fret, as Plakias Horse Riding Center also offers horse riding lessons. Suitable for both children and adults, beginners and more advanced riders, these courses will take you through all the basics of horse riding and allow you to get acquainted with your horse. Lessons are private, so the rider is guaranteed a more personalized session tailor-made for their skill level.
