Rethymno Souda beach

General information

Souda Beach is a lovely, long shore with crystalline azure waters, covered in fine pebbles and golden sand. It is located at the exit of a small valley where the Finikas River flows.

The sea is calm and not very deep, with its rocky seabed making it ideal for snorkeling. Around the area, you can see palm trees of Phoenix Theophrasti, a unique species of palm native to Crete. The beach is organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, and showers. Along the coast, you will also find some taverns, as well as a few pleasant rooms to rent.
