Rethymno Damnoni beach

General information

Damnoni Beach is located less than 5 kilometers east of Plakias village. Located at the edge of a green valley covered with olives and mountain streams, Damnoni is considered one of the best beaches in Crete.

This relatively long beach has gorgeous turquoise waters and fine golden sand. There, you will find all kinds of tourist amenities, from umbrellas, sunbeds, and showers to water sports facilities.

The eastern edge of the beach is quieter and leads to some isolated and non-organized spots ideal for those seeking some peace and tranquility. The surrounding area is full of deserted coves with soft sand and incredibly clean and pristine waters, so if you're lucky enough, you will be able to find your own secluded paradise.

A few taverns and snack bars are available near the main beach, as are some studios and rental apartments.
