General information

Votsalaki (or Botzalaki) is a secluded beach that stretches west of the exit of the rugged Asprolithos Gorge, in one of the hottest and most arid areas of southeastern Crete.

Strewn with sand and fine pebbles, it is a lovely beach with crystalline turquoise waters offering great privacy, as high rocks protect its western edge from prying eyes. Though located on the road from Goudouras to Makris Gialos, it remains completely pristine and offers no facilities whatsoever, so you will need to come equipped with your own umbrella, water and everything else you need. The only convenience is a shower located in the parking lot above the beach.
