Lassithi Spilia Listi beach

General information

One can find the beautiful Spilia Listi just 5 km south of Agios Nikolaos. Its name means “the thief’s cave”, and according to a local legend, a thief used to reside in one of the nearby caves.

Known for its stunning coast, the shore is sandy with small pebbles, suitable for families with small children. The beach is semi-organized with plenty of free space for those who prefer tranquility. It features umbrellas, sunbeds, bars, taverns, and changing rooms. It is an ideal destination for thrill-seekers, too, as there are some watersports centers on the shore.

The blue-green waters are suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and water games, while the sandy shore awaits you for sunbathing. As the day ends, the sky transforms into a canvas of vibrant colors, creating a breathtaking view. The beach is also home to plenty of caves and scenic hiking trails. Apart from the available seafront taverns and beach bars, one can also visit Ammoudara in just a few meters.
