General information

Located 103 kilometers southeast of Agios Nikolaos and just 500 meters west of the settlement of Xerokampos, Mazida Ammos Beach is the longest in the area. With a unique landscape where the rocky mountains contrast with the calm sea waters, it sets a beautiful background for a nice morning swim.

This stunning beach boasts silky white sand and breathtaking turquoise waters, which are calm and ideal for swimming. The waters are also pretty shallow, making Mazida Ammos an ideal destination for families with small children. When it comes to amenities, a small collection of umbrellas and sunbeds are available to rent while a beach bar serves delicious ice-cold drinks.

Being pretty secluded, Mazida Ammos provides a serene environment away from fuss. Those visiting can rest on a sunbed or under the shade of the trees lining the shore and admire its natural beauty. The shining waters of the endless Libyan Sea are a feast for the eyes, while right opposite the beach two small islands, called the Kavali, reside. The east side of the beach is well guarded by Cape Trachilos, at whose tip a sea cave named Fokiospilio is found.
