General information

Between the villages of Achlia and Koutsouras in southern Lassithi, Maheridi (or Maheridia) is a set of three remote coasts in succession, best known for their crystalline waters and interesting seabed! The beaches are filled with bright pebbles and some sand, while two of the three shores are surrounded by tall and imposing cliffs that make them difficult to reach, though they provide adequate sun protection for some visitors. Also, Maheridi is popular amongst snorkeling lovers, given its rich sea bottom!

The secluded beaches of Maheridi have no sun loungers, umbrellas, or bars and snack spots nearby, keeping the shores non-organized and free from tourist amenities. It is highly recommended that you bring your parasols and lots of food and water since the nearest spots for eating and grabbing a refreshment are over a kilometer away from the coasts.
