General information

Around 10 kilometers east of Ierapetra, along the coastline that stretches between Kakia Skala and Achlia, lies the area of Ferma, where visitors will find a number of lovely coves. The biggest is Livadi Beach, which boasts a pebbly beach with crystalline azure waters.

The landscape surrounding the beach is also of striking beauty, being characterized by lush vegetation, high rocks, and steep cliffs. Various streams also open into the sea at this point, so it is easy to understand why the otherwise arid landscape of southern Lassithi is transformed into a green oasis in Livadi. In the middle of the beach, it is even possible to see a few Cretan palm trees. Two paths with steps descend towards the beach, facilitating access.

Livadi is not organized, so if you’re planning on spending several hours here, you will need to be equipped with an umbrella, water, and all the other necessary equipment.
