Lassithi Lagoufa beach

General information

The long and sandy Lagoufa Beach lies in southern Crete. Close to Makris Gialos Harbor and only 30 minutes away from Ierapetra, Lagoufa Beach is located in the Lassithi district in the southeastern region of the island. The area can be easily described as a tranquil resort, where, at the same time, one can find contemporary infrastructures, such as hotels and bars. One thing is certain, it is a place worth visiting!

Close to Analipsi Beach, Lagoufa is divided into two coves connected via a small wooden path. While Lagoufa is an organized beach with plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas, and other modern facilities, there is also a lot of free space for bathers who prefer a quieter stay. You can swim into the warm, crystal-clear waters of the Libyan Sea, walk across the sandy bay, relax, sunbathe, or read a book under the beautiful Greek summer sky. Far from tourist hotspots, Lagoufa is a perfect place for families with small children as it is more secluded and peaceful.

Apart from the nearby luxurious hotels, the beach has snack bars, where you can enjoy a refreshment or a snack. One can also find toilets and shower units. Moreover, the organized part of the beach hosts water sports centers for thrill seekers!
