Lassithi Gra Ligia beach

General information

Gra Ligia is a seaside settlement 5 kilometers west of Ierapetra and 40 kilometers south of Agios Nikolaos. Its inhabitants are mainly engaged in agriculture, hence the numerous greenhouses you will see around the area. In front of the settlement stretches Gra Ligia Beach, with crystalline waters and a combination of coarse sand and small pebbles.

The beach is only partly organized, as there are showers and a few sunbeds provided by the municipality, but, to make up for that, there are tamarisks that provide some natural shade. Though the beach may not look like much, it is a great spot for privacy and relaxation away from large crowds.
