Lassithi Avlaki beach

General information

About 21 kilometers from Agios Nikolaos and 43 kilometers from Heraklion lies the village of Vrachasi, near the villages of Sissi and Milatos. Those passing by Vrachasi looking for a relaxing swim can do just that at the charming little beach of Avlaki.

The beach is nestled inside a secluded cove and offers a serene and quiet environment. It boasts gray sand, pebbles and clear blue waters ideal for swimming. Rocky terrain and some light greenery surround the beach and there is a car park very close by. However, the beach is not well organized so visitors should make sure to come well equipped with any necessary amenities.

There are also many beaches in the vicinity of Avlaki, including Sissi Beach and Milatos Beach. The archaeological site of Malia Palace, Amazonas Park, and the town of Sissi are also located nearby.
