Lassithi Ammoudi beach

General information

Lying just 1 kilometer from the Agios Nikolaos city center, in the heart of a sheltered cove, Ammoudi is a small sandy beach with shallow light-blue waters. From the beach, visitors have lovely views of the Agioi Pantes and Mikronisi islets.

Lined with tamarisks, Ammoudi is well-organized and offers plenty of choices in terms of food, accommodation, and watersports, being highly popular among windsurfing enthusiasts.

Near the beach, on Cape Nisi, it is possible to find the 7th-century chapel of Agios Nikolaos that has given the town its current name.
