Pantanassa Beach is a small, pebbly peach, 15 kilometers northwest of Heraklion Town. It is situated right beside a quaint marina, from which one accesses the beach.
What makes Pantanassa stand out is the lush hillside that hides it from view even as one turns off from the motorway on their way to the beach.

Pantanassa itself is rather plain, with a few sunbeds and umbrellas available, as well as a shower at the beach’s entrance. Other than that, the beach itself is unorganized.
The nearby marina offers plenty of parking space, as well as a fish tavern, offering fresh seafood with a clear view of the piers and boats that dock here.
