General information

Linoperamata Beach, also known as Ellinoperamata (passage of the Greeks), is a charming shore located 8 km east of Heraklion Town. The 7-kilometer beach starts at the Giofyros River and is the western part of Ammoudara Beach.

The coast is covered in coarse, golden sand and scarce pebbles and is organized with umbrellas and sunbeds. The waters are clear and shallow and have a lovely light blue color. Although the place is full of natural beauty, it’s not really popular due to the nuisance caused by the industrial facilities in the area. However, it is still worth a visit, as the landscape is truly mesmerizing.
