General information

Limanakia is a beach in Crete that actually consists of many small bays. It starts from Sarantaris Cape and expands up to Hersonissos.

- On the western side of the coastline lies the first beach, which is actually more like a dock, perfect for diving and snorkeling. Right next to it, you will find a lovely shore, with dazzling turquoise waters and a beautiful cave that you can explore.
If you move a little further, you will discover a quiet, isolated beach where you can practice nudism if you want to. The coast is sandy as well as rocky in some places.
- The next one is the most popular and crowded one, Sarantari Beach. It’s fully organized, with umbrellas and sunbeds, as well as a small canteen where you can get snacks and beverages.
Right next to it lies Gefyri Beach, which is also organized.
- As you move forward, you will find many other small beaches with coarse sand, white rocks, and sparkling turquoise waters. The atmosphere is truly majestic and ideal for a refreshing bath or a relaxing sunbathing session.

Around the area, you can easily find all the tourist facilities you need. There are showers, sunbeds, and umbrellas, as well as mini markets and beach bars where you can get something to eat or drink.
