General information

Filaki Beach is located on the southern shore of Crete, just 3 km from the village of Sfakia. This is a highly sought-after destination among naturists and one of the few officially recognized nudist beaches on the island. Its secluded location far from the town center makes this an ideal choice for those who want to practice nudism or crave some moments of peace and serenity.

The beach boasts a pebbled coast and wonderful azure waters. Interesting rock formations and cliffs surround the beach, some of which form beautiful small caves that are worth exploring. Filaki presents visitors with a collection of sunbeds and umbrellas available for rent, as well as a traditional tavern just behind the shore, perfect for enjoying a nice meal after your refreshing dip. About 1 km from the beach lies the only hotel in Crete exclusively for nudists.

Reaching Filaki from Chania Town is a lengthy endeavor, requiring a 1 hour and 30 minute drive. From Sfakia, the beach is only a 5-minute drive away and there is a designated parking area just behind the beach.

If you're looking for a fantastic beach experience, this spot is a hidden gem, especially for nudists. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind and soak up the sun in your natural state.

One of the highlights of this beach is the excellent kiosk run by Vicki. She offers a delightful selection of snacks and refreshments that are perfect for a day at the beach. Vicki's friendly and warm demeanor adds a personal touch to the experience, making every visit feel special.

Whether you're a local or just passing through, this beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking a serene and liberating environment. Highly recommended!
