Release Athens 2024

During June and July of 2024, Athens Water Square (Plateia Nerou) will host several entertaining music concerts featuring big international acts, all of which will be a part of the yearly Release Athens Festival!

The lineup of 2024 is bound to entertain all rock and metal lovers, while electronic music fans will also have lots of reasons to attend! Heavy-hitters The Offspring and Megadeth, two multi-platinum rock and metal acts, will show up at Water Square on the 9th and 14th of June, respectively, whereas Pulp, Thievery Corporation, and Massive Attack will headline the next three shows! Lastly, metal listeners cannot miss the 21st and 28th of July since six elite groups will show up in Faliro, namely legends Judas Priest, singer Bruce Dickinson, heavy metal band Accept, blackened death phenoms Behemoth, thrash-heads Testament, and 90s underground death metal band Pestilence! Also, there are more dates to be announced, so stay tuned!

Since its inception in 2016, Release has quickly shifted into one of the finest, most successive music festivals of Greece, heavily due to its ability to attract important music cornerstones from around the world, as well as provide all the necessary planning and equipment to host a trouble-free concert! Plus, this year’s festival also has a handful of combined ticket offers, making it affordable for people to attend multiple concerts of Release!

Through the years, Release has brought large, world-renowned artists and music groups to the stages of Athens, including Sheffield-based phenoms Arctic Monkeys, the legendary Iggy Pop, grunge pioneers Alice in Chains, Spanish pop star Rosalía, post-punk sweethearts Viagra Boys, and the famed shoegaze acts of Slowdive and DIIV, alongside Greek talents like rapper Taf Lathos, poet/lyricist K.Beta, and stoner rock act Godsleep, amongst others!
