One and a half years after its opening, as a department of the Athens Benaki Museum, the Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika Gallery is holding its first ever temporary exhibition entitled Folk toys at the house of Nikos Hadjikyriakos-Ghika.

Painter Basil Theocharakis is presenting his new works at the Theocharakis Foundation for the Fine Arts and Music. The exhibition is entitled Seas and Forests and its main theme is the various interpretations of nature and its regeneration.

An interesting exhibition will take place from January 23rd at the Benaki Museum, in the Pireos Street Annex. The exhibition is entitled Brides: Tradition and Fashion in Greece and presents a large array of wedding dresses from the 19th till the 21st century.

The National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens presents a group exhibition of young artists entitled Afresh, A new generation of Greek artists until December 31st, 2013.

Until January 8th 2014 will the photography exhibition by Joshua Garrick be hosted at the National Archaeological Museum of Athens. The exhibition is entitled Seeking the Ancient Kallos and shows the desire of the artist to capture the classical beauty as it is presented on ancient sculptures.

Only 12 days are left for the 31st Athens Classic Marathon, that will take place on Sunday November 10th this year. Parallel races include 5km road race, 10km road race, power walking, kids race and 1,000m Special Olympics race.

The National Gardens in the centre of Athens will be filled with music the following days, from June 15th to 18th.
