The Bar in Front of the Bar is a unique streetside establishment in the center of Athens that serves special cocktails in an urban setting.

It started as a pop-up establishment in place of the bar that was being constructed behind it, however, it took on a life of its own in this timespan and its owners decided to keep it running. The little bar has a small number of stools for people to sit on, but many visitors prefer to take their drink to go and stay around the bar, creating a vibrant crowd in the process. Behind a door in the back of this bar, visitors will also find a pleasant surprise!

The Bar in Front of the Bar has a minimalistic design, with neon signs and a big sign at its center with varying messages in sans-serif, such as We Serve Humans Too or Something to Talk to Your Therapist About. The bar serves all the classic cocktails with their twists, by using fresh Greek products and a zero-waste mentality. The bartenders use premium ingredients and never buy store products; instead, they make their own syrups, bitters and puree.

An incredibly unusual feature of the bar is its signature cocktails. The bar’s bartenders create a new catalog of eight signature drinks every day from scratch! They draw inspiration from classic forgotten cocktails while using their own imagination and personality to create something entirely new!
