Athens Thimari beach

General information

Thimari Beach in Athens: A beach destination near the shores of Palea Fokea, Thimari is a long beach featuring shingles and sand! It consists of a few separated seashores featuring gorgeous, crystal-clear turquoise waters! It is usually really crowded during the summertime, although it is not that full during the spring!

Thimari Beach is mostly non-organized since there are no sun loungers or sun umbrellas for most of its length, though it has an organized spot on its northern side, with rental sunbeds and a beach bar for snacks and refreshments. Also, you will spot a lifeguard tower on the shore.

Fun fact: The whole area smells like thyme due to an abundance of thyme plants locally, hence the beach's name!
