General information

Stretching between Panormos and Kastani —which has become famous as the shooting location of numerous Mamma Mia scenes— Milia ranks among the most beautiful beaches in Skopelos. Strewn with coarse sand and fine pebbles, it boasts crystalline turquoise and light blue waters that are perfect for both swimming and snorkeling, even though they are exposed to the wind. The thickly vegetated hills surrounding Milia, with the lush pine trees reaching all the way to the shore, also give the beach a unique, soothing charm, as does the verdant islet of Dasia, which looms right opposite the shore.

The beach is well-organized with umbrellas, sunbeds and facilities for such water sports as water biking, canoeing and SUP. A beach bar serving fresh fish and seafood, as well as other delicious local recipes is also available nearby. Typically, the part that lies left of the quaint rocks jutting out of the sea, dividing the beach into two parts, is busier, while the section to the right is more suitable for those seeking to relax in a more serene setting. However, note that this distinction may become blurred during the peak season.

All in all, staying till the late evening is one of the best things to do to make the most of your experience on this beach, as its glorious sunset views are truly magical. Arranging your transfer by boat to Dasia is a great idea too.

Access to Milia by road is very easy, whether you are starting from Skopelos Town or Glossa.
Local buses from Skopelos Town also take visitors to Milia, but, in this case, you will have to walk for a few minutes from the bus stop to the beach.

    Need shoes for the sea
The only perfect is the crystal water, and green landscape, but need shoes for the sea, very difficult to get into the water. No one beach bar in Milia has a shower, NO ONE
