General information

Chalikiada Beach lies on the eastern coast of the island, about 1 km southeast of Skala and 3 km from Megalochori. This is a secluded spot distinguished by its serene atmosphere and wonderful natural landscape. Its glistening, deep blue waters, combined with the pebbly shore, surrounding greenery, and intricate rock formations create a paradisiacal environment.

For those planning to spend an extended amount of time on Chalikiada, it is necessary to come well-equipped with food and drinks as the beach does not offer any facilities.
It should be noted that Chalikiada’s location makes it very difficult to access. There is no designated path leading to the beach, so visitors will have to make their way down a steep and rocky hill that can prove especially hard to navigate. The descent requires extreme caution and it is essential to have the right footwear as the rocks are very slippery.

Because of this, Chalikiada Beach is not suited for the average beach-goer, families with smaller children, or seniors.
The beautiful Skliri Beach can be found nearby and is easier to access, making it a much safer option.
