Spotted in the middle of Volimes Village (called Meses Volimes), the Church of Agia Paraskevi is an important sight of Zakynthos. Influenced by the Venetians, this baroque-style church building has a pale yellow-colored exterior and an impressive bell tower, whereas its rich interior boasts a handpicked, wooden, gilded templon and a handful of gorgeous hagiographies!
It is to be said that Agia Paraskevi’s decoration is reminiscent of the church of Agios Dionysios in Zakynthos Town! Furthermore, this Orthodox temple celebrates annually on the 25th and 26th of July, where a litany first takes place, swiftly followed by a folk festival!
