Lefkada Windsurfing

Windsurfing and kitesurfing are the two most popular sports on Lefkada island. The strong winds that blow in summer months from midday until late in the afternoon attract many windsurfers in Lefkada. The most popular spot for Lefkada windsurfing is Vassiliki, a large bay on the southern side of the island, ideal for all experience levels.

The main spot for Lefkada kitesurfing is Agios Ioannis, a large beach close to Lefkada Town where the super thermal wind (15-20 knots on average) blows steadily almost every day in summer, from April to September.
