Lesvos beaches

Location: 57 km north west of Mytilene
Description: This large organized beach is a big touristy resort, Umbrellas, sun beds, showers and changing cabins are available on the beach, as well as various restaurants and taverns.

Location: 60 km north west of Mytilene
Description: The beach of Molyvos is actually a large, pebbled bay with clean water. Located on the northern side of Lesvos, Molyvos is a popular tourist resort in summer.

Description: Vatera streach along an immense, sandy beach on the south western side of Lesvos. Fishing boats and yachts moor in the lovely port of Agios Fokas.

Description: Ideal for relaxing, this sheltered bay has crystal water and sandy shore. It doesn't usually get crowded.

Description: This is a calm, sandy beach close to the family resort of Anaxos. It is not organized at all and offers a relaxing environment to its visitors.

Description: This is a large cove close to Mandamados village, on the north eastern side of Lesvos. It is not organized, so it usually doesn't get frequented.

Description: Melinta is a lovely beach close to Plomari, on the southern side of the island. It is not organized at all and provides a relaxing environment.

Description: The beach of Mytilene is organized with sun beds and umbrellas, although the coast is a bit rocky in some parts. It is located in a walking distance from the town centre and the port.

Description: This is a small cove with clean water close to Plomari. Some taverns and cafeterias surround the coast.

Description: This is a lovely and secluded beach with pebbles. It is surrounded by short greenery.

Description: The gulf of Geras is located close to Mytilene. This is a protected gulf with nice beaches to swim.

Description: This is a secluded beach on the north western side of Lesvos. Due to its isolate location, it doesn't get crowded at all.

Description: This is a long and sandy beach in close distance to Polichnitos. Environmental seminars and lectures are frequently held there.

Description: This is a long and clean beach on the southern side of Lesvos. It has many tourist facilities around.
