Karpathos Weather

The island of Karpathos in the Dodecanese is one of the biggest islands in the Aegean! It is a mountainous and windy island, though its climate remains on the Mediterranean side. Given its altitudes and tree-filled rural areas, wintertime can be chilly, even though the summer months are still very warm.

Warmth is most prevalent during July and August, though Karpathos has high temperatures from the beginning of June until late September! Wintertime can differ, depending on the village's altitude. It is generally considered an island with mild winter months.
The vast majority of hotels, including most ones in the capital of Pigadia, remain open from May to October, with its tourist peak being mid-August!
