More about Agios Ioannis Porto Beach
Several more picturesque beaches lie along the same bay as Agios Ioannis, making this one of the most popular destinations on the island. Laouti Beach can be reached through a 20-minute walk from Agios Ioannis and boasts even more lush vegetation along with plenty of facilities. Agios Sostis Beach resides a little further away and is equally worth a visit. Finally, there is Pachia Ammos Beach, which offers a more serene atmosphere amidst a secluded and untouched environment.
Access to Agios Ioannis Beach is fairly easy, requiring a 15-minute drive from the capital. If you are not traveling by private vehicle, there is a bus stop on the main road just 550 meters from the beach. Buses departing from Tinos Town make stops at the Porto line bus stop, from where the shore of Agios Ioannis is only a 7-minute walk away.

aneskaviv 05 Jun 2008One of the best in TinosPorto is a sandy beach and it distinguishes among the other beaches of the island, which are pretty rocky. We stayed in a close hotel and went there on foot very morning to swim or continue our sleep on the beach. It always had clean waters and some umbrellas. The tavernas by the sea cook nice.
